Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Manage the firm's litigation docketing and calendaring systems, including reviewing pleadings, filings, discovery, and depositions to accurately calculate and enter deadlines across multiple courts and jurisdictions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on court rules, procedures, and filing requirements, assisting attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants with deadline management and e-filing compliance.
  • Research court websites, statutes, court codes, and legal databases; maintain court and firm holiday calendars; and distribute accurate weekly calendars to attorneys and staff.
  • Utilize CompuLaw, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PACER, ShareFile, Westlaw, and e-discovery platforms to support complex docketing functions and ensure timely, accurate case management.
  • Associate's degree required (Bachelor's preferred), 3-5 years of law firm litigation docketing experience, strong organizational and proofreading skills, solid employment history, and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment while collaborating effectively with a team.
